I am not sure at the time of the book Killing Time that any details were known about the expensive vehicle. The info I have is from statements made by Lee Baily in court while attempting to get the info and a sketch that Lang did that he gave to the DA's.
There was info also about there being more than one person---at least one appearing to be a body guard or at least an imposing, threatening figure who glared at Lang and scared him away.
