No, I’m saying that Marcia took the high end of Crawford’s 8:30 to 9:00 estimate and no one looked at De Bellow’s 8:30 to 8:40 estimate. If the Brown’s left between 8:30 and 8:40 they had between 57 minutes and an hour and 7 minutes to get there. Lou should have been able to shave a few minutes off of that driving time without exceeding the 65 MPH speed limit by too much for too long. The trip is mostly freeway and he would have known the quickest routes to and from the freeway. After 8:00 on a Sunday night the traffic should have been thin.
I have never driven in California so I don’t know how fast the average motorist drives on the freeway but in most places I’ve been its ten miles over the posted limit. If the posted speed limit was only 55 MPH, that could be a different story depending on how people normally drive and how the police enforce it. .
I don’t know how you got 35 minutes out of my post. Maybe I typed in a wrong number somewhere. In any event, that is not what I meant. Hope I didn’t make a simiar mistak here. –Jasper
