What I am wondering about too is whether the prepaid long distance cards are billed to the home phone. They are meant for you to have long distance away from home without having to have cash or or paying long distance fees at motels etc, that can get quite high.
I am wondering too about how a phone card works. There are ---and were then--credit cards for long distance only. I know this for a fact because the day my Dad died at the hospital, we switched from the coins I had to my brother's phone credit card. Since this was a PAY phone, I can only assume the charge was billed to his phone--or perhaps directly to the credit card by-passing a phone company altogether. However, those cards are put out by your phone company to you so perhaps it is not by-passing it at all.
I would say that OJ had one---for business and that the Browns had one too.
Perhaps someone here has one and can tell us how it works.
With my Tracphone--I never get a bill or list of calls made with the phone.
