Can't add much except to say that Pellicano was very well known to all the studios and in the city as a "dirty tricks' PI. He was already 'famous' for the Michael Jackson case (as was his running buddy who took the kid's side).
Let's not forget that Pellicano was the PI accused of tampering with evidence in the doctor's death (fall of 94) at Don Simpson's house. The cop in that case was Brad Roberts. Then later in Jan of 95, Don Simpson is dead at the same address and I would say that Pellicano was called in at that time too.
Who called Pellicano in for the doctor's death (called before the cops and EMTS's)? Was it the STUDIO? Was it the studio who did Simpson's movies? Who did the Top Gun and the other movies up to that point?
The big issue to remember is that Pellicano is a "dirty tricks" PI --not one who is on the up and up --but one known to go way way over the line.
I'd bet Weitzman recalled Fuhrman's name from the 89 case as well. Or he did by the time OJ was arrested or perhaps the next day (Tues). If he was asked to get together info on the divorce or the spouse abuse--he would have come across the name.
