Chan, With Denise, when she was in her late teens or early 20's (remember she is older than Nicole so she got a start ahead of Nicole)--she was the mistress for Robert Evans. Now tell me, how does a young girl from Dana Point get to know Robert Evans? Most would not know how to get anywhere to meet them. She had to be out there partying or getting in the face of the folks in Hollywood for it to happen.
There is in fact a period of time that we know very little about Denise. During this time she was on welfare (not all the time at her parents). She also had an out of wedlock child that we have never heard who the father is. We don't know if she had a long term affair with someone and it was just something that happened or if it happened during her drug hazed period.
And I think you are correct about perhaps some jealousy from Denise towards Nicole. OJ said it several times. They were not friends but competitors and really didn't have a good relationship.
Denise screwed up and Nicole ended up with a wealthy husband. A husband that pulled Denise's irons out of the fire more than once.
Nicole was living the life Denise wanted.
If you ever saw the wedding video where they went into a room and had the papers signed after the marriage (at Rockingham) and Denise was there to sign---you will see that she is very drunk and is climbing up OJ's body like a monkey--much worse than the video after the recital.
You can also hear her in the band/dance scenes at the reception where she is drunkingly yelling out comments to people on the stage.
She attempted to "get" Robert Evans and failed. I am trying to remember but during the 70's Evans married Phyllis George. They weren't married a real long time but wouldn't this period of time be when Denise was connected to Evans?
It was the late 70's that George divorced Evans (after a drug arrest and other problems) and she very quickly married a man who become the Gov. of KY. and the owner of FKC. Gov. Brown at that time was an up and comer in the Dem party.
At any rate, the late 70's or early 80's would be the time frame. I am trying to recall but by the early 80's, Nicole would have been involved with OJ already.
NIcole had been involved with OJ for a long time, married him and was having Sydney by 85. .so my guess is that Denise was involved with Robert Evans after his divorce from Phyllis George Brown. And John Y. Brown was governor of Ky. either 80-84 or 82-86. I believe it was 80-84.
A young girl getting to be Evan's mistress as a young woman--had to get an early start at getting out and trying to attach themselves to a wealthy man.
