Jasper,
Good story!! ("He wo travels always has a story to tell."
Talking about fuhrman and women, remember how he tried to explain (excuse) his language on the tapes in his book. He said: "In hindsight I can see how those attitudes, combined with my sexual relationship with the writer, led me to try to impress or shock her." (Pg. 271) Most boys learn at about age 10 that the way to impress girls is not to shock them. Fuhrman hasn't gotten there yet.
I watched the movie again, (not yet te reference tape, still a bit rushed here). The scene where Michael threatened the limo driver with a knife, was that in the book? And doesn't that remind you of the allegations from the limo driver who drove O.J. from a Swiss Army Knife board meeting and said O.J. was swinging a knife and said "this could kill someone?"
There are many details that go back to the Simpson trial. Weeks (Dr. Watson) says when they are talking about the country club crowd shutting them out, "What would you do if you were in their shoes? Fuhrman says, "I can't afford their shoes" (Bruno Maglis?).
