The book was Murder in Spokane. Yates confessed to 15 murders. Fuhrman wanted to pin some more earlier murders on him, don't remember how many and the book is in box somewere (I'm moving house). Wouldn't surprise me if they added up to 22.
Ted Bundy confessed to 22 murders.
