I have looked through Fuhrman’s new book “Death and Justice”. Here are a few things that caught my eye.
On page 33, Fuhrman is writing about Bob Macy, the Oklahoma DA with so many death row convictions. Fuhrman writes: “When he was DA, a framed poster of the movie Tombstone hung on his office wall.” Then Fuhrman goes on to say, “ The same poster hangs in my family room. To me it depicts a place and time where I would much rather have lived- if only it were real.”
On page 31, Fuhrman is again talking about Bob Macy. He writes, “ When I worked the streets, I welcomed any prosecutor or politician whose attitude reflected my own- zero tolerance of crime, strong sentencing, the death penalty.” He continues talking about Macy’s public statements and says they "would have been music to my ears” and commenting that any DA in Los Angeles would have “kicked back” some of Macy’s cases. Then he says. “ I also think that if I had had Macy as a DA, I might have gotten sloppy and made some serious mistakes.” (Interesting statement)
It is also my understanding that Fuhrman has divorced Caroline. I thought I had read it in this book but perhaps I heard it somewhere else.
The book is really boring and I doubt I will study it at length!
