Rose,
Maybe got it right.
From Fuhrman’s point of view the symbol is the important thing. He is VERY big on symbols and very liberal in his interpretations of them. Remember is interpretation of Ghost? It wasn’t accurate but it was close enough for him to make it an important symbol in Murder in Brentwood. It was so important to him that he used it again in his movie.
The case is loaded with look-alike evidence. The shoes that O.J. wore to the recital looked like Bruno Magli Lorenzos, but they weren’t. The blue jean jacket that he wore to the airport must have looked similar to the one that Riske and Fuhrman saw in Nicole’s kitchen but it couldn’t have been the same one. The gloves looked like that ones that O.J. worn on Monday Night Football and the cap looked like the one he wore in The Naked Gun. The gloves didn’t fit and the cap didn’t look like it did, either.
Delphiniums don’t look like violets but the ones that Fuhrman left on the murder scene with the “Mother’s” poem is the same color (same association). The color of the larkspur on the ground is the same as some roses I’ve seen although it, too, is a kind of delphinium. You can’t put a red rose on a murder scene. Outside of the Eastern Star, red roses are for lovers.
The African lily only has to look enough like a fen to make the association. And look at all the other Eastern Star associations we get with the look-alike fern that’s really a lily and the other look-alike flowers.
This tells me that you were right about Fuhrman’s interest in the Moxley case predating the Bundy murders. The evidence photos, Fuhrman’s testimony and his first book had to have been done with a Marta Moxley book in mind as well as one on O.J. Did you notice that a broken column symbolizes the Martha fern? Doesn’t that sound too much like the broken shaft of the golf club on the Moxley murder scene to have gone unnoticed by Fuhrman when he had his picture taken with the cap, the glove and the bloody shoeprint on Bundy? –Jasper
