OK several things. The office next to Kato's room was Nicoles. OJ's was to the front of the house.I belive opposite the stairs as you came in the front door. There was also a closet there.
There was a second alarm system. It was a motion sensor and covered 2 rooms. Of couse these rooms had to have doors closed when the dog was around and it was turned on. OJ would not tell which rooms, but it made sense that it would be the trophy and office. I believe that the alarm company could turn off the alarm from their office or a technition could do it.
A lock smith or the company that sold the safe would have been able to open it. Or the cops may have had a way. Or OJ could have given them the code.
The key was probably the maids. She may have had a second key to let herself in when she was out and no one there. She would have left the master some place in the house.
My elderly sister has several care takers. They have some keys so that they can get into the house and the alarm code. But they don't take all the keys home, like the car, etc. Or keys for other doors or the credit cards they use etc. Just the keys to get into the house in case one leaves a few minutes before the other one arrives. But it is doubtful that she would leave the key out where anyone could find it. So how did he know how to find it so easy.
