Gigi must have returned to the house on the 13th. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think news of the murders hit the airwaves until late that morning.
It seems to me that the detectives would have assumed that Gigi had a master key to do her job and asked her not only to turn it over but also to accompany them in the search simply because she knew where everything was kept. The mystery to me is why Fuhrman would make an issue of “finding it.” All I can do there is guess. --Jasper
