It always amazed me that litte really was said of the blow to Nicole's head--like what could have caused it, etc.
And I find it very interesting that in a case in Tampa where a cop has been under indictment for 2 years for the death of his wife (suffication) when it was recently found that she died of natural causes (sudden heart attack as in young people). It was Dr. Baden's findings in the defense review of the case that were so compelling to the DA's that they hired someone else to review the case and then fired the coroner--his mistakes were so bad.
I find this in sharp contrast to how Dr.Baden's findings were treated in the Simpson case. The autopsy was reviewed but by someone who was still attached to their law enforcement team--not an outsider as was done in Tampa.
When it comes right down to it, neither the hit on Nicole's head nor the hit on Ron's head played even a minor part in the DA's theory...when they could be a MAJOR factor in the case.
And think on this. Was it because Golden did not find ANY evidence of a blow to the head in his autopsy done w/in the week that the killers had to "lose" the golf club and it disappeared from the case and by the time Baden found the evidence of a blow, it was long gone?
Another oddity. It has always been my understanding that the golf club used in the murders has disappeared. In fact, that it was shown in the crime scene photos but actually disappeared and was never found again. Or something similiar to that. Was that brought out in the movie or the book? I know I did not dream that. I saw many an Unsolved Mystery about this case over the years and am sure that it was told that way more than once. So perhaps it was "meant" to disappear all along as planned by the murders? (OJ"s club I mean)
