I’m surprised that something like this hasn’t happened before. Sydney IS Nicole’s daughter and she did witness her mother doing this in ’93. She has been constantly bombarded with news stories telling her that her father “abused” her mother, that he beat her in ’89, that her mother called 911 back then and that he killed her in ’94. Meanwhile, O.J. has done NOTHING to clear himself or to help those who spent small fortunes and years of their lives trying to find and disseminate the truth.
Sydney may now believe that her father did kill her mother or at least have doubts as to whether he did or didn’t. Otherwise she would not have gone to stay with the Browns.
Your analysis of the affair seems right to me. A 17-year-old is capable of all kinds of extremes to “get back at Dad.” A 911 call is just the thing to keep her dad in line. –Jasper
