The Jeff who didn't come to Ron's funeral was one of his two partners in the "party" business. Called Wrap or something like that.
If in fact, this is the same Jeff, it would be fascinating that a FRIEND and business partner of Ron's would live next door.
And I was thinking that the "Brentwood Hello" guy was named Jeff but I may be mistaken about that.
