The victims were declared dead at 0045, Investigator's Report, (Pg. 275, Killing Time) by "Emergency Services, Eng 19*. So they must have come up close to the bodies and must have been allowed to touch them, which detectives apparently cannot do. Could they have identified Nicole?
Nicole had made friends with the guys at her local fire station and firefighters used to drop by her house, according to "Raging Heart". This was mentioned in a chapter dedicated to "O.J.'s threats and stalkings". It says that when they found out that Nicole was O.J. Simpson's exwife, they for that reason stopped coming by. Emergency services share buildings with firefighters.
