Rose,

I am always interested it the pictures Dick puts up on his site. He has been to Bundy and Rockingham. I haven’t. The biggest problems I have had in this case have been getting a good lay of the land. Dick has provided the best pictures and layouts available – except for some of the most important features of the Rockingham estate that he should have gotten right.

Dick seems to be determined to fit everything he finds into his idea that O.J. drove to Rockingham and was seen coming back by Jill Shively and Allan Park. It therefore took him five years longer than it took me to see how radically misrepresentative the prosecution’s Rockingham drawing was to the conditions that actually existed on June 13, 1994. I’m talking about relevant details that either support or refute O.J.’s alibi. I’m talking about things that I got as close as I could get them before I finished Iago in 1998. I put the book online in ’99 and published it in 2000.

I put the animations online two years ago and refined them with the help of my fellow Smartfellows as more information became available. The entrance to the garage and the streetlight that Dick mentioned in his article were important elements that I messed. Here are some important elements that he missed….

Dick’s cluster of blood drops in O.J.’s foyer is on the wrong side. His bend in the driveway is too acute (see photo on first picture page of Evidence Dismissed). His width of the driveway leading to the Rockingham gate is too narrow for the Bronco (in his drawing the Bronco is actually wider than the driveway) and the Bronco is too far forward and not far enough away from the curb. I put all of these things in place before I read the transcripts of the civil trial with O.J.’s detailed account of what he did and when he did it between the last time he said he drove the Bronco and the time he left for LAX. His alibi fits the physical evidence perfectly.

The blood drop on the street behind the Bronco is one thing I have never seen in a photograph so I don’t know how Dick arrived at it (I thought I had all of the blood drops that Fung marked and that tested negative for EDT). I have questions about where Dick put the blood drop labeled Item 7. It fits my scenario better than the one I put closer to the grass (although both of them work) but I don’t think it’s right. Also, Dick seems to think that Park Saw O.J. walking up his driveway. Not so. Where I have him marked in the animations is where Park saw him.

Rose, I read everything you write and check out Dick’s website from time to time but right now I have a full plate and I can’t do everything I would like to do (still haven’t had time to put your pictures up – it’s a big job for me). When you see what I’ve been doing and why, you’ll understand. –Jasper
