I agree that the ambulance/EMT/fire department involvement may be typical for such a scene. To the prosecutors, it probably was not important to the case they were trying to make.
When the police went door to door is more interesting. It is also interesting to note one of the doors they apparently did not knock on, that of Karpf/Stein. Let's see- footprints leading out to the alley, very near to a bedroom window that overlooked the alley, and the police did not knock on the door of that condo to ask if they heard anyone in the alley.
It is my understanding from reading about the jurrors visit to Bundy that "the Taylors" lived next door to Nicole. Apparently the detectives as well as the Taylors were indicating the lighting was different at Bundy at that time of the trial then it was on the night of the murders.
Riske also talked about checking the trash cans in the alley behind Nicole's from Dorothy to Gorham. I wondered when he said that how he could determine where Gorham was from the alley since Gorham does not go through that alley.
Sometimes I think the only way to really grasp what the testimony can tell us is to do a timeline for each police officer and detective at the scene, noting what they were doing, who was with them and what they said the others were doing at that time. Do you think we could tackle that with posters taking one person and making a timeline, which we could combine. You may have already done something like this with Fuhrman and Roberts.
