You're absolutely right, Miss Marple. Riske's claim to have touched the pupil and to have observed it from back of the fence is unquestionably a lie.
NO WAY COULD HE HAVE ACCOMPLISHJED THAT.
Riske lied about lots of stuff, including aboiut his calling in the murders by phone to avoid alerting the media. He in fact called it in by radio before he ever entered the residence.
