I didn't hear all of Rosa's testimony, only a small part. She said she heard the voices in "media noche", which means in the middle of the night, not around midnight. I understand the translator was from another Latin country. You have to undertand that they all are different, not so they cannot understand each other, but in small details. For instance, mantequilla means butter in Chile and margarine in Argentina. (Not that that has anything to do with it)
When you wake up in the middle of the night and go back to sleep without looking at your watch it could just as likely be minutes after you went to sleep as minutes before you wake up. Or somewhere inbetween.
I agree with you that it is very strange that fuhrman didn't ask Rosa if the had heard anything the night before. Didn't even explain why he wanted to search Salinger's garden.
About the order to notify from Bushey, that order was given to Phillips BEFORE F/H had taken over the case. In their book, both fuhrman and Vanatter/Lange claim that the call from Bushey came at 4.30. Bushey testified in the trial that he gave the order at 2.30 to notify OJ "as soon as humanly possible".
Bushey said something else that puzzled me. He said the reason he wanted OJ notified even though he and Nicole were divorced was that "they had shared custody of the children". How did Commander Bushey know that?
