I spent most of yesterday working on High Points. In the process of going over Marcia's false claim of not talking with Fuhrman about the case when she went to Rockingham on the 13th, I realized that she was an important eyewitness.
Fuhrman, Roberts and Phillips were the only ones on Rockingham who could have talked to her about the evidence found by Fuhrman and Roberts that made it a crime scene. Fuhrman was the only one who could take her from start to finish.
Lange was on Bundy when Marcia arrived on the Rockingham estate at noon. Vannatter was on his way downtown with O.J. Between the time of Vannatter's departure and Marcia's arrival Fuhrman says the he and Roberts discovered the "freshly washed sweats" in the washing machine, the blood smears in the maid's quarters and the open knife box.
In Murder in Brentwood (page 43) Fuhrman says: "…Clark asked to be shown what I had seen, what I did, and where I found any evidence. So I WALKED HER THROUGH THE CRIME SCENE AND EXPLAINED MY DISCOVERIES AND OBSERVATIONS…."
Yeah, yeah, Fuhrman tells lies. So does Marcia. In this case the evidence and the logic of the situation are mostly on Fuhrman's side. A cameraman in a TV station helicopter did take a shot of her and Fuhrman together in O.J.'s backyard. A ground camera took a picture of her and Roberts. She was there to get a first-hand look at the evidence (and to see what she could do to make Vannatter's warrant stand up in court). Fuhrman was the logical person to ask for a tour of Rockingham and a rundown of the situation at Bundy and Rockingham.
Fuhrman had to show Marcia the blood inside of the Bronco - if it was there. The Bronco wasn't towed away until 3:30. Why didn't she tell anyone that she saw it?
Fuhrman had to show Marcia the knife box - if it was as big as he said it was (by the way, if you have a crisp picture of the tub and you know how long it is, you can figure out how big the knife box is). Why didn't she bring the knife box into evidence?
Fuhrman had to show her the blood in the maid's room - if there was any blood in the maid's room. Why didn't she make a really big deal out of that? -- Jasper
