Love those Freudian slips! The problem with making up stories is that you always have to be on your toes.
I think you are right that Clark didn't call roberts because she knew he was lying. I also think that she had not intended to call fuhrman either, for the same reason. She hid him nicely from the Grand Jurye. When fuhrman's notes surfaced somehow, she was forced to call him in the prelims. It was the defence that brought out the notes on cross. But why wouldn't she call him when she had gotten the impression that he was the most knowledgeable of the detecives at Rockingham. And that he was the one who "found the glove".
Clark does mention a sweat suit in her book. She says she was sitting in her office looking through crime scene photographs and suddenly saw a photo of fung in OJ's bathroom, holding a black sweat suit. She called Lange (or Vanatter, not sure) and the two agreed it was a black sweat suit.
Clark wrote that after having spent about an hour at Rockingham she decided to go to Bundy. There they wouldn't let her behind the yellow tape so she stood there for a while just watching, before returning to the office.
On July 3, she returned to Bundy and this time,she says, she entered the condo for the first time. And now she goes on to describe the interior of Nicloe's condo THE WAY IT LOOKED ON JUNE 13. The bed sheets crumbled up in the middle of the bed, the toy hand cuffs hanging from the bed post, the candles. The thing is, we know that at July 3 the Browns and friends had cleaned out the place. No chance the bed had been left as it was on June 13.
So I think this was another lie from the good prosecutor. She was inside Bundy on June 13.
We have had a discussion on the NG about the sweats in the washer and I discovered that there are at least two different versions floating around in different copies of fuhrman's book.
My copy has a two liner that "brad found freshly washed sweats in the washer. He notified R/H that they were black sweats, swears by it, then and now".
In the pocket edition the scenario has changed and grown to several paragraphs. Now brad's discovery is witnessed not only by two (un named) R/H detectives, but also by Fung and by fuhrman himself. He doesn't go into how come the sweats were not collected but blames it on Vanatter for not being there doing his job.
I have to find a pocket edition. I'm sure there is much more changes to find there. Furhman can't restist a challenge and will rearrange things to win.
Luper's testilying about at which search warrant he met Marcia at Rockingham reminds me of Officer Gonzales testimony about what he saw in the morning of June 13.
He was asked who the detectives were that escorted Arnelle from her room to the front door. He wasn't sure he said: "but who ever testified that he was the one, that is the one I saw".
